We named him Oliver as we thought it was such an elegant name for a Siamese cat. This became “Ollie” within a day and has stuck ever since…
I had always wanted a Siamese cat but we weren’t too keen on the new extremely angular shape they seem to be these days. I then found a breeder in Victoria who specialised in “apple-head” or traditional shaped Siamese cats. Luckily she had a litter and there was a little boy available. He was a Blue Point Siamese and I collected him from the Melbourne Airport cargo car park as the breeder was sending some of his siblings interstate.
What a gorgeous young man we ended up with… With impeccable manners – Ollie gets along with everyone in the household and they all adore him. He is polite, never pushy and has eased his way into everyone’s hearts in a big way.
Ollie is a Blue Point so his points are the same silvery grey as our Russian Blue Boris. Coincidently Boris and Ollie are best friends and spend a lot of their day together…. His coat is plush like velvet and his voice is a deep typical Siamese yowl which he loves to use whenever he can. If you talk to Ollie he answers you straight back which is very endearing….
Ollie’s nickname is “Have a Chat” which he chooses to ignore….. His hobbies are fetching balls, playing with zip ties and sleeping.
